‘ULAB Animation Studio’ holds two-day workshop

“ULAB Animation Studio”, an apprenticeship programme of Media Studies and Journalism department, has recently organised a two-day workshop titled “Cartoon Character Development”.

Script writer Ahmed Khan Hirok, and animator Reaz Hossain conducted the workshop dividing it into two sessions that took place at Campus B on 29 March and April 17. Each day, the session started at 11:00am and ended at 5:00pm.

On the first day of the workshop, Ahmed Khan Hirok gave the participants an idea on how to develop characters.

In continuation of the first session, Reaz Hossain, also an artist, helped the students visualise the characters. He also taught the participants the basic rules to illustrate those.

AFM Moniruzzaman Shipu, adviser to ULAB Animation Studio, was present.

The Universityof Liberal Arts Bangladesh and its curricula are accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh.
