Summer’18 MSJ alumni formed

Like the previous semesters, Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) department at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh hosted an “Alumni Formation” programme on September 23. Marking the farewell of students graduating in Summer’18, the event took place at Campus B Seminar Room in the evening.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Jude William Genilo, head of MSJ, congratulated the graduating students on achieving the important milestone in their life. Underscoring the importance of alumni, Dr Jude said MSJ alumni can play a significant role in the future development of their beloved department.

Then, faculty members spoke and motivated the students to bravely face the challenges of the professional world. Following that, the graduating students took an oath administered by Dr Jude. In the oath, they pledged to work for the good of mankind. Then the grade was disseminated among the students who successfully defended their internship reports earlier in the day.

Last but not least, the outgoing students walked down the memory lane reminiscing their life at ULAB. PR4U, an apprenticeship programme of MSJ, organised the event, which ended with musical performance by one of the team members.

The Universityof Liberal Arts Bangladesh and its curricula are accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh.
